Any individuals (whether Intel employees, consultants, outside vendors or other third parties) involved in developing communications regarding the Pentium microprocessor must understand and comply with these guidelines. Please contact your Intel sales representative for any questions or issues. PENTIUM(TM) TRADEMARK USAGE GUIDELINES 1. ALWAYS use the Pentium trademark as an adjective, which means it must be followed by a noun. RIGHT: The Pentium(TM) processor . . . 2. Not any noun will do; it must ALWAYS be the appropriate noun. RIGHT: The Pentium(TM) processor . . . Pentium(TM) chips . . . The Pentium(TM) architecture . . . The Pentium(TM) trademark . . . The Pentium(TM) brand name . . . 3. The (TM) symbol must appear with the FIRST use of the Pentium trademark in the document or with the first use on each page in unbound documents such as foil presentations which are likely to be separated. (Note: Other companies may use an asterisk in place of the uppercase TM symbol if preferred.) RIGHT: Intel has just announced the Pentium(TM) microprocessor. The Pentium CPU is 100% compatible to previous generations. Pentium is a trademark of Intel Corporation. 4. Use of the Pentium trademark should be accompanied by a credit line, as follows: Pentium is a trademark of Intel Corporation. 5. NEVER use the Pentium trademark in the plural form or as a verb, regardless of whether or not the (TM) symbol is used. WRONG: Use Pentiums(TM) to enhance the performance of your software. WRONG: "Pentiumize(TM)" your computer. 6. Use of the Pentium trademark as part of hardware and software product names (whether Intel products or third party OEMs/ISVs) is NEVER permitted. Reference may be made to the inclusion of the Pentium CPU in hardware products and applicability of a software product to systems containing the Pentium CPU. HARDWARE PRODUCTS: WRONG: The DMC Pentium(TM) 500. RIGHT: The DMC 550 contains the new Intel Pentium(TM) microprocessor.
